Sunday in San Francisco
Sorry for being a bit slow to post but this travelling lark eats up time.
We’ve added a few more words to previous posts.
We booked a tour of Alcatraz… interesting experience, quite disturbing though. I learnt a lot about the history of the island. I’ll let the pictures tell the story. The lower walls were painted a shade of green that will to my mind always be associated with Alcatraz! Great views of the Golden Gate Bridge as we sailed towards ‘the rock’.
Back in San Francisco we met up with Sid, our nearly nephew- inlaw …is that even a thing?
Well, he was a star and took us on a tour of his neighbourhood (Sunset) and to Fort Point under the bridge. We watched the sunset and walked at dusk …wonderful. More was to come as we got to eat dumplings at Kingdom of Dumplings… delicious. Thanks Sid😊

| The Chinese food at this little restaurant was amazing. A great selection of veggie food and helpfully guided by Sid |
